1. Who is responsible

César Alejandro Maciel Vargas, who operates under the trade name "Clínica Mediciel", with address at Av. José María Morelos y Pavón 6, Centro, Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, postal code 40890, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of the personal data you provide on this website.

2. What data we collect

When you request an appointment on this site:

• Name.
• Phone number.
• Email address.
• Specialty or name of the doctor you wish to see.
• Preferred date and time.
• Image of your transfer receipt. It may show your name, your bank and part of your account number.

Automatically, the service that hosts the site records technical data about the visit, such as the IP address, the browser type and the date and time. It is used only for the security and operation of the site.

We do not ask for the reason for your visit, diagnoses or medical history on this site. Please do not write them in the form.

Sensitive data. The specialty or the doctor you request may give an idea of your state of health. For that reason we treat it with the care the law requires for sensitive data, and we ask for your express consent with the checkbox in the form.

3. What we use your data for

Purposes necessary to handle your request:

1. To manage your appointment request with the doctor or specialty you chose.
2. To contact you by email or phone to confirm, change or cancel the appointment.
3. To verify your advance payment.
4. To comply with legal obligations and respond to requests from authorities.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decisions. We do not sell it.

4. Who we share it with

• With the specialist you chose. The specialists who see patients at the clinic are independent professionals. To schedule your appointment we share with them your name, your phone number and the date and time requested. This is necessary to provide the service you ask for.
• With authorities, when a law requires it.

We also use providers that process the data on our behalf and following our instructions: the hosting and database of the site (Cloudflare), email and calendar (Google) and the sending of confirmation emails (Resend). Some of them store the information on servers outside Mexico.

We make no other transfers without your consent.

5. How long we keep it

• Appointment requests: 12 months from the date of the appointment or of the request.
• Receipt image: 30 days after the payment is verified; 30 days if the request is rejected or cancelled; 60 days if the request is not handled. It is then deleted.
• Technical records: for as long as the hosting provider keeps them.

When those periods end, the data is deleted, unless a law requires it to be kept longer.

6. How we protect it

The site uses an encrypted connection. Requests and receipts can only be viewed from an administration panel with a username and password, which is accessible to the clinic's authorized staff.

7. Your rights

You may ask at any time for:

• Access to the data we hold about you.
• Rectification, if it is incomplete or incorrect.
• Cancellation, so that we delete it.
• Objection to our using it for a specific purpose.

You may also withdraw your consent or ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data.

How to do it. Write to Enfermeriamediciel@gmail.com with:

1. Your full name and an email or address where we can reply.
2. A copy of an official ID or, if you act on behalf of someone else, the document proving that you represent them.
3. Which right you want to exercise and over which data, stated clearly.
4. Any information that helps us locate your request.

We will reply within a maximum of 20 days from receiving your request. If it is approved, we will carry it out within the following 15 days. These periods may be extended once for an equal period, and we would let you know. The procedure is free of charge.

If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you may go to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno (the Mexican federal authority for data protection).

8. Minors

If the appointment is for a minor, the request must be made by their mother, father or guardian, with their own contact details.

9. Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It only uses what is technically necessary to work. If a visit-measurement tool is added in the future, we will say so here before activating it.

10. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
